I always avoid anything on this page that is even remotely political, but tonight I am fu*king annoyed. I buy these posts, the bottom of retention screws in bulk. I can't get these on Amazon in anything more than a 10 pack. From a US manufacturer, they are FIVE times more expensive. What I order comes from Montreal Canada. Usually, these are $0.28 each. With shipping , they average out to about $0.35 each. Now with tariffs, and required "special" shipping, they come out to about $1.58 each. The profit margin on the mag holders I use these with is so low, I have no choice but to pass this along to the customer. My leather price is also increasing by 35% from one supplier, as well as supplies (dye, wool daubers, tools, etc) . I can get US made leather, but it will literally TRIPLE the price of my holsters. I can tell you definitively, from first hand personal experience, foreign countries are NOT paying the tariff on these products, I am. The business owner in the US, and it's getting passed on to my customers. And despite what politicians try to tell us, this is exactly how tariffs work - they're ultimately paid by the end consumer.. Are we winning yet?
