Meet our May Employee of the Month… Zack!

Zack Riegler, Maintenance Coordinator, has only been a part of our Altercare team for three months. Although his time with us has been short, he has made a huge impact. Zack’s favorite part of his job is being able to talk to the residents and help them when needed. Professionally, Zack is inspired by others who he has worked with that have been in the professions for a long time. Their experience, attitude, and work ethic are something that Zack respects and wants to live up to. His mom, who is the hardest working person he knows, is also an inspiration to him. “She is always doing whatever it takes for her family, never complaining, and showing up with strength and commitment every day. Her work ethic and resilience are what I try to bring into my own career.”

Zack has a girlfriend, Molly, and two cats. In his free time, he likes to spend time outdoors, go fishing, grilling out, and going swimming. A fun fact about Zack is that he likes to garden.

“I chose Altercare because it offered real opportunities to grow my skills and take on more responsibility. I wanted a place where hard work gets noticed and rewarded. Which by receiving this honorable award, instills my decision to work for this company. I also wanted to challenge myself by taking on a new position as a manager.”

This week, we celebrate National Activity Professionals Week! We're proud to spotlight our dedicated team members who make a difference every day through their creativity, commitment, and passion for bringing joy, connection, and enrichment to our residents. 🌟

Meet Dianna Davis, our Activities Assistant. Dianna is still in high school and has been a part of our Altercare team for two months. Dianna’s favorite part of her job is visiting and interacting with the residents. They are what motivate her to come to work every day. When asked what advice she would give to a new employee, she stated “It’s important to be nice to the residents and to put your all into what you do for them.”

Dianna has a dog, a cat, and chickens. In her free time, she likes to read and spend time with her family. A fun fact about Diana is that her favorite food is cheese ravioli.

Meet Amber Cavins, our Activities Coordinator. Her biggest motivation for coming to work every day is knowing that she makes a difference in the residents’ lives. When asked what advice she would give to a new employee, she stated, “Just have fun! If you love what you do, it will show in your work. If you are having fun, the residents are having fun too.”

Amber and her husband, James, have three daughters, two sons, two dogs, and two cats. In her free time, she likes to go to the nail salon, shop, and go out to eat with her family. A fun fact about Amber is that her favorite drink is Mountain Dew.

“I choose Altercare because I needed a professional change. After being a caregiver for 18 years, it was time for a change. Since being here, I have been able to be creative and outgoing. I love my job and what I do. I’m grateful to be here!”
