What are your doing to prepare for your sacred leave-taking?
If you're like most, you aren't even thinking about death, let alone preparing for it.
Of course, choosing not to plan or prepare doesn't change its inevitability. Instead, it oftentimes leads to a bad death experience- for the dying and for those intimately involved.
As a former hospice nurse, I saw way too many gut-wrenching, painful deaths to count. Unfortunately, they weren't the exception. They were the rule.
Many thought they had plenty of time to plan and prepare, until they didn't. Then the chaos and crisis began.
It doesn't have to be a time of chaos and crisis with some planning and preparation.
Not sure where to begin?
Feel overwhelmed about taking the first step?
Afraid to even think about dying and death?
Talking about death helps get more comfortable about thinking about it, and thus, planning for it. (And it doesn't make it happen any sooner!)
Join us as look at and talk about the many facets of planning and preparation.
