Eating healthy and exercising is a no brainer when it comes to wellness and a healthy lifestyle, right?! But, are these the only factors of living healthy we should be focusing on?
I can with 100% certainty tell you there is a BIG area many of us are missing when it comes to our health. It’s not related to food or physcial activity, rather, it’s our home environment.
Think about this; we can eat only vegetables and run 5 miles each day, but when we are using soaps, lotions and makeup with toxins to clean up after that run and using disinfectants (pesticides) to clean up after our meals, why are we not more aware of the safety of our home environment?
It comes down to the information we’re given and the way in which we’re marketed to. Think about all the education and information available and publicized to us each day about eating healthy and exercising. Everywhere from t.v. commercials, doctors offices, school and more. It didn’t always used to be that way. Remember when smoking ci******es were allowed in restaurants?
The same is true for toxins that linger in our homes from the products we use to clean with and those we apply to our bodies. Did you know there’s been more than 200 chemicals found in the cord blood of newborns? Or that the US has not passed a law regulating the use and testing of chemicals since 1976?! I didn’t know that for the longest time because this is not information that is readily available and talked about.
So here I am, talking about it because it’s important. Your home should be the safest place on earth for you. It’s your sanctuary, your escape, your comfort. The air you’re breathing, the clothes you’re wearing and the surfaces you’re touching should not be toxic.
I want you to be aware of these factors so that you can start living your best healthiest life for you and your family. I want you to be informed and educated on simple changes you can start making today that will positively impact your families health immediately.
