Did you know there are two main types of ultraviolet rays that can harm your skin?

• UVA rays age skin cells and can cause long-term damage like wrinkles and sunspots.
• UVB rays are the main cause of sunburn and play a key role in developing skin cancer, especially following blistering burns.

It’s essential to remember that both UVA and UVB rays contribute to melanoma risk. Practicing daily prevention is key:

• Wear protective clothing, sunglasses and hats
• Avoid tanning beds
• Stay in the shade during peak sun hours
