URGENT: Please see the attached letter from Sheriff Greg Countryman.

Greetings, Citizens of Muscogee County! I'll get straight to the point. We have many in our county who are struggling to make ends meet. This may cause an uptick of repeat offenders for the jail. We have an amazing community that cares about issues of humanity. The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office has initiated an effort called Operation Good Samaritan. I want to help as many families as we can with food items for those affected by the delayed funding. We will be doing this in a Phase I and Phase II. Due to the ongoing urgent need, Phase I will be from November 10, 2025 - November 21, 2025. It is written in scripture, that the Lord loves a cheerful giver. We are asking for your support of those who are willing to help. We have provided a list of items that you can drop off at the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office located at 1000 5th Ave Columbus, GA 31902. The point of contact is Chelsey Brooks. You can email her at Brooks.Chelsey@columbusga.org if you would like to participate. We are stronger as a county when we come together for the good of the least of those amongst us.
