Preconceived perceptions can be powerful…
But they rarely take into account how the space is held.
This trauma-informed container I have been trained to facilitate within, is far different than what I used to believe breathwork was.
From social media, I saw rooms full of 20+ people, sobbing and flailing around in, experiencing trauma releases with no follow up, no integration.
Though this may be what some people are after within a breathwork journey, that’s not the kind of space I feel called to hold.
I prefer the route of creating layers of safety for the nervous system to settle, so you get out of the mind and into the body — To allow space for the regulation, activation and integration of the healing your system innately knows how to do.
If this is something you may be interested in exploring, comment below and stay tuned for the trauma-informed, somatic breathwork journeys I will be hosting in the near future, both virtual and in-person!
