"My son has grown so much with the guidance and support of his wonderful tutors. From math facts to writing, reading comprehension, and study strategies, we are seeing the growth reflected in his grades, testing, and report cards, but most importantly, in his happiness and excitement for school.

Watching him build a rapport with our tutor has been amazing, from not enjoying homework time to eagerly looking forward to her visits. Our tutor comes fully prepared with work tailored specifically to him, challenging him just enough to keep him growing. She is truly a blessing to our family, and we couldn’t be more thankful for her devotion and support!" - Learning Aid Ohio Account Manager

Meet Tonya!

Tonya is passionate about supporting the entire family through Learning Aid Ohio, because she believes education is a true team effort. She values providing tailored support that eases the burden on families while helping Learners build confidence, skills, and a strong foundation for the future.

"As an elementary teacher, my greatest passion is helping Learners conquer challenging subjects and experience those meaningful ‘aha!’ moments. By bridging the gap between school and home, tutoring creates a seamless learning environment where Learners get the support they need exactly when they need it—leading to less frustration and greater academic success."

Tonya’s favorite part of tutoring is seeing the widespread positive impact across Ohio, from large cities to small rural communities. She is proud to be a consistent, reliable resource helping Learners thrive, build confidence, and reach their highest potential through Learning Aid Ohio.

“Learning Aid Ohio has had a huge impact on my child’s life. My son has autism and ADHD and was mostly nonverbal, but this program has given him the opportunity to continue learning outside of school. Because of that support, he now earns A’s and B’s, communicates so much more, and has grown tremendously in confidence.” - Learning Aid Ohio Account Manager

"My daughter’s ASL progress over the past six months has been remarkable.

When she started, her signs were random and mostly unintelligible. After three months, her signed sentences became longer and more understandable. Now, she’s forming full sentences, asking questions about things she’s curious about, and readily accepting feedback to improve her ASL grammar and non-manual markers.

Her achievements include learning new ASL vocabulary, improving her spelling, and even mimicking ASL storytelling, which she was able to repeat back nearly perfectly shortly afterward. Watching her grow and gain confidence has been inspiring." -Learning Aid Ohio Account Manager
