We need your help. The Senate is voting tomorrow on whether to extend the enhanced premium tax credits that help people afford health insurance through the Affordable Care Act marketplace. If these tax credits expire, millions of people could see their health insurance costs rise sharply in January and many may lose their coverage.

Prevent Blindness is asking you to contact your Senators today and urge them to support a clean three year extension of these tax credits.

You can send a message in less than a minute by clicking this link: https://t.congressweb.com/l/?GYKMIQZDEYAHVDQ

Why this matters:

These tax credits help individuals and families afford health insurance that covers important vision and eye care services, chronic disease management, and preventive screenings. If people lose coverage because it becomes too expensive, they may miss out on the care they need to protect their health and their vision. Many eye diseases can be prevented when caught early, but only if people can access care.

Your voice can make a real difference. Please take a moment today to urge the Senate to act before the end of the year to keep health coverage affordable for millions of people

A Medina school nurse commented that the best part of the training was “that the vision screening steps were broken down for easy reference and I could pause the video to take notes.” This free training was made possible in part through the Save Our Sight Fund https://bit.ly/3TWPQD8 at the Ohio Department of Health.

The focus of the Save Our Sight Fund is to provide early detection of vision problems and the promotion of good eye health and safety.
