We are in the last stretch of the renewal cycle for occupational therapists. Remember that you have a new CE requirement for this renewal! 20 hours are still required, but they must include one hour of ethics, jurisprudence or cultural competence. ETHICS CORNER: Productivity Requirements
While any given employer or facility may establish work expectations including productivity standards, the practitioner must ensure that the highest priority patient needs are met. If productivity expectations of an employer are such that a practitioner is unable to meet the above standards, it is the responsibility of the license holder to challenge those expectations.

ETHICS CORNER: Did you know that the OTPTAT Board ethics rules guard against conflicts of interest? Disclosure is key!
License holders shall not influence a patient or the patient's family to utilize, purchase, or rent any product or equipment based on the direct or indirect financial interests of the athletic trainer. Recommendations of product or equipment must be based solely on the therapeutic value of that product or equipment to the patient. A license holder who owns or has a direct financial interest in an equipment or supply company must disclose the financial interest to the patient if the athletic trainer sells or rents, or intends to sell or rent, to the patient.
