As the back-to-school season begins, it's a great time to talk to youth about overdose prevention. The CDC's new Free Mind campaign encourages open conversations between teens and their caregivers about mental health and the risks of substance use.

ADAMH supports this important initiative and believes overdose prevention starts with awareness. Fake pills are increasingly common and can contain deadly amounts of fentanyl — a synthetic opioid far stronger than he**in or morphine. Learn more about how to help youth prioritize their mental health and make informed choices by visiting https://www.Cdc.gov/FreeMind
