Can chiropractic care still help after surgery?
John asked that question quietly, almost bracing for disappointment. He had walked a long road—a major accident followed by life-saving surgery. He was incredibly grateful for the doctors who stepped in when everything was urgent; they saved his life.
It was like firefighters running into a burning house. But once the fire is out, you still have smoke and water damage. Things hidden beneath the surface don't always heal just because the flames stopped. At that point, you don’t call the fire department again—you need a different kind of care.
For 23 years, John lived with daily pain. His left hand was too weak to hold tools, sleep was elusive, and migraines were constant. He was worn out, wondering if this was just his "new normal."
When he began care at InThrive Chiropractic, change started slowly but surely. The pain decreased, and strength returned to his hand. Then, something unexpected happened: his body finally relaxed enough to rest. For ten days, he slept almost 20 hours a day. His nervous system finally had the space to repair after years of strain.
On the other side of that rest was energy, clarity, and a version of himself he hadn't felt in decades.
So, can chiropractic help after surgery? Yes. When done carefully, gently, and specifically for the person, it can support healing even years later. While there are sometimes limits due to scar tissue, your body is smart and remembers how to heal.
Hope doesn’t end with surgery. Often, that’s where a new chapter of healing begins. ❤️
