One of the best habits for me this summer is a morning walk in the park. It is a great time for my hubby and I to talk, breathe fresh air, enjoy the birds, geese, great blue herons, gulls and other critters. I will admit a snake in the road will startle me, yes even the baby snakes.
Connecting with nature is a simple yet powerful way to reduce stress and boost your mood.
Pay attention to the details. Notice the sounds of birds, the rustling of leaves, the warmth of the sun on your skin. These sensory experiences help ground you in the present moment.
Spending time in nature reduces stress hormones, lowers blood pressure, and improves overall well-being. It's an accessible way to improve your mental and physical health.
Make time for nature every day. A short walk in the park, a moment sitting under a tree, sipping tea on the patio—these small actions can make a big difference in your overall well-being.
Even better is time on the lake with loved ones. Soak up the sun, smile and enjoy the laughs.
Make it a great day!
