Important information for people of any weight who are waking multiple times a night to urinate. It might not be a urologic issue -- could be sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is underdiagnosed, dangerous and TREATABLE. Talk with your doctor about your symptoms so that together you can consider all of the possible causes and safeguard your health.

Nocturia (nighttime urination) is so prevalent in sleep apnea patients it has become a screening tool as significant as snoring. A research study showed that over 84% of patients with sleep apnea reported frequent nighttime urination while 82% acknowledged snoring.
