This month we are highlighting another employee, our office manager Lydia!

Lydia has been the office manager at Acura Medical Systems since 2016. She’ll be one of two people you’ll speak with when calling into our office!

When she’s not at work she enjoys spending time outdoors. If she has the chance she won’t say no to hiking, camping, or canoeing and is always happy sitting around a fire. Her other hobbies include reading, playing videogames, and she’s recently picked up whittling.

She has two dogs that she spends a lot of her free time with, and she regularly travels to see family spread throughout Ohio. She’s currently looking forward to the change in weather as Summer is her least favorite season!

This month we are highlighting one of our Technicians, Bryan. Bryan has been with Acura Medical Systems, Inc. for 12 years! He is our Project Manager and oversees our MedGas work and exam light installations. He also has a wealth of knowledge related to equipment service and repair.

Bryan lives with his wife and daughter, and their two dogs. He enjoys deer hunting, going to concerts when not in a pandemic, and traveling to the gulf coast when time permits. He also likes to camp and be outdoors in his free time, and never says no to sitting around a fire.

We are going to start spot lighting some local animal rescues, as they deserve all the love they can get ❤❤

This week we're highlighting Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center, as that is where our Office Manager Lydia got her dog, Edgar pictured below!

Franklin County Dog Shelter is the largest county dog shelter in Ohio. They save COUNTLESS lives of innocent dogs. Last year alone they took in 9,819 dogs and puppies, including all stray dogs in the county as well as owner surrenders and unwanted litters of puppies. They deserve a shout out!

This month we are highlighting one of our Technicians, Anthony, who has been with Acura Medical Systems, Inc. since 2014!

Anthony and his wife Molly will be celebrating their five-year anniversary in May. They own a dog, Ruby, that was featured previously in our Pets of Acura post. They have recently been watching the show Forged in Fire together and are considering getting involved in blacksmithing as a joint hobby.

In his free time Anthony spends a lot of his time devoted to fishing, with Alum Creek being a favorite spot. He also enjoys wood working and carving fishing lures. Anthony and another of our employees also enjoy getting outside to local rifle ranges when they have the chance.

Another hobby Anthony takes part in is restoring old tools and machinery. This includes repurposing old medical equipment, including turning an old anesthesia machine into a decorative lamp!

Next up is SPEAK! for the Unspoken. They are located in Grove City, and their primary focus is dogs and cats with special needs. Blind, deaf, developmental issues, etc., they all deserve a healthy and loving home!

First we have Columbus Humane! This is the location that our Office Assistant adopted her cat, Fang (pictured below).

Columbus Humane has all sorts of different animals to be adopted, including cats and dogs there are also bunnies and Guinea Pigs who could also use a loving home!

We had another visitor the other day, Klaus!

Klaus belongs to our office manager, Lydia. He spent the day wandering around being loved on by all our staff members, while occasionally begging for food.

As you can see here below, our lead technician Ron was getting the puppy dog eyes in an attempt to get fed!
