Kami L. Niehoff, LMT, YSC Practitioner My mission is to provide massage therapy services to a wide age range - from infancy to the elder years.

From teaching new parents how to massage their babies, helping a mother who is pregnant, helping those to reduce pain from being active, working out, or from dealing with the pressures of working in an office. I welcome folks who want to shut down for an hour/90 minutes and who want to feel reset when their session is over. For those individuals who have pain - lets reduce it, lets restore it - wh

ile we help you to relax a bit. If you find that I am not the right massage therapist for you, I will help you find the one that might work.

One of the hardest posts for me to write and put out but ACL surgery has to be done. And closing up is temporary.
Last summer was the right knee (but no surgery) this time it is the left. Thanks for the support and your patience as I go through this.

Two dots on the far end - your limit
Next two dots - new end range
Squiggly lines - your playground.

Where do you find yourself? In work? Personal life? In your self-care practices? Do you have a playground and do you regularly visit it?

I tend to hang out too much at my far limits. My path to is giving me tools to come into my body more and to ask “What do you need from me?” The next thing is to honor what the body says it needs.

The sticky note is from a Trager session with my teacher . Something new always comes out of my sessions with her and other students.

Our bodies are always talking to us. However we have been conditioned to not listen to them. Massage, bodywork sessions, time in nature, connections with people, good nutrition, stillness/movement, silliness, solitude, life review are some of my ways for me to get back to myself. What are your ways?

How would it feel to sit….
If you recalled the spectacular beauty of a sunset?

Body reMinder cards are a great way to explore, become playful with movement, and increase awareness of your internal landscape. ®️ is such a fun and unique movement practice that I am currently a student of.

Can you find a trail to walk on this weekend? If not a path? How can you playfully enjoy your walk? Can you keep your beautiful head up? Can you walk fast then slow? Can you create a bounce in your step - like flicking your toes at each step - or flicking water off your toes? Can you swing those arms? High ~ low? Walk side ways, backwards, skip. If you are unable to, can you give yourself permission to enjoy every step you take? Then pause. How does it feel inside?

Going into my last day of the Trager® level one workshop. Pausing, noticing, softening, lightness, connectedness, joy, aliveness, safe, acceptance, surrendering. Just a few words to describe how I have felt and what I have experienced all week. ❤️

Tomorrow is day 3 of Trager Level 1 training. Grateful that I am able to learn from Judy Fasone right here in Columbus. The Esalen® massage that I offer incorporates parts of the Trager® approach but why not go directly to the source to learn the deeper aspects.

Not only am I learning how to work with clients using the Trager® approach but also with my own body. How can I make movements freer, lighter? It is like a sacred dance with your own body to see what you can allow to move with slow, soft movements and most importantly what can you let go.

The Trager® Approach (Milton Trager, M.D.) was introduced to me early in my massage path. It would float across my path over and over. When I completed Esalen® training this summer, Trager® was a part of it. And I loved it. Coincidence? Nah.

Last month, Intro To Trager information floated past me again. The Intro was this morning. And I jumped on the opportunity. Just the little bit of the approach… changes, re-education to my body. And yesterday I got the call, that a spot opened up for the Esalen and Meditation workshop in Asheville, NC. So….. hi ho, hi ho back to NC I go!

I will be out of the office and will return to the office October 10 with some tools for sessions.
