My daughter & I are headed home today from a joy summit in South Africa. The journey has been amazing, even this brief trip to a South African hospital for a few stitches turned out much better than expected. Stitches/ meds/doctor …..25 usd. I was so happy to see this breastfeeding information posted in the lobby.

When we are in relationship and sensitivity respond to

their emotions

their needs

their love

their cuddles

Babies grow safe to feel their feelings, know their feelings, express their feelings, look into our eyes, love with their whole being, empathize, and heal us.

They might be the first in the family to easily say I love you, hug deeply, be present and be emotional.

Their brain shaped by nurture in infancy is a force for emotional healing. For them, for us, for our family, for ancestors and for generations to come. 🥰🥰🥰

I’m sad to say that this is why many of the most experienced IBCLC’s I know are leaving our field. It’s a great loss for families that will get less experienced & educated care.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! Every expecting or new parent & grandparent should read or listen! I have learned so much! The authors are holding an online retreat for parents that sounds awesome & I wish I could attend! I believe it’s free!!!! Please check out this potentially life changing book!
