Come join us for bagels and body talk! This interactive class is geared towards 9-13 year olds anticipating their first periods. We will talk about the medical language for your body, puberty, the menstrual cycle, menstrual cycle products, hygiene practices and body safety. Both parent and child will leave this class feeling comfortable & empowered discussing puberty going forward. We will not cover s*x and related topics in this workshop, though we will arm you with a toolkit to discuss these issues at home in a way that is s*x and body positive. Even if you’ve been discussing puberty or your child has had their first period, this class will build on the information you have already provided. Everyone will leave class with a period starter kit and special gift! Link in profile to book! 🔗

A virtual 3 session Yoga Series to prepare for the year ahead☺️
Join trained yoga instructor, Josh Manculich, LPC for this Yoga Mini Series where he will lead us through a gentle yoga flow and a mini mindfulness lesson to lead us into the new year feeling just a little more grounded.

Session 1: December 17th, 6-6:45pm (What feels good in your body to take with you into 2025?)
Session 2: December 24th, 9-9:45am (What do you need to let go of?)
Session 3: December 31st, 9-9:45am (What is something you want to try?)
Who: All are welcome
Investment: $15 per session

There are three ways children learn to be in the world:
1. How you treat each other. (Meaning whoever you’re co-parenting with)
2. How you treat others. (Meaning the wider world: neighbors, servers in a restaurant, the person behind you in a car)
3. How you treat them!

When they have (seemingly endless) questions, do you answer and engage or do you distractedly answer, minimize or communicate with your body language that you’re annoyed? More is caught than taught! If we want to cultivate a compassionate and connected relationship with our children, we have to engage with curiosity. Answering the questions now, sets the tone for them answering YOUR questions with more than a shrug later.
