I TRIED SOME STRETCHES… FROM THE INTERNET… 💊

STEP 1 ➡So you Googled your injury and Dr. Google said that you're suffering from either simple muscle strain, a complete muscle tear, a super rare form of arthritis or cancer.

This is pretty typical when self diagnosing and it creates the panic of “what if”. The best part is self diagnosis is that it NEVER works, because if it did, then you wouldn’t need us!

STEP 2 ➡ So then you jump to your favorite Youtube sensation who has clickbait videos with 1 million + views on how to CURE the WRONG diagnosis you received from Dr. Google.

You watch several videos and do the random exercises for 2-3 days and decide it doesn’t work, but it doesn’t make sense why.

PAIN WHEN RUNNING 🏃

The name of the game when treating and solving an injury is “shared responsibility”

This is even more true when treating running injuries! Running injuries are more than just a “weakness”, a “tightness”, or a “diagnosis”. The injury is directly related to the total mileage being run. The total mileage keeps the injury sensitized and this is where the “shared responsibility” comes in 👀

In order to stop the pain once and for all WE have to deliver targeted treatment to solve the problem and YOU have to be willing to adjust (scale down not stop) your total mileage for a short period of time and rebuild once the pain is gone. It really is a two way street! When these two things happen simultaneously the results are AMAZING!

Peak Physiotherapy and Performance is a physical therapy clinic in Canal Wi******er, Ohio specializing in the rehabilitation of orthopedic, temporomandibular joint pain (jaw pain) and CrossFit injuries.
