One visit to Advanced Ankle and Foot Center and this patient is on their way to happy, healthy feet!

We have a couple of things going on here. First, we have 2 nail plates. This usually happens because of trauma, and the nail not healing properly.

Secondly, we have fungus. No worries!

We removed the superficial nail plate on top (no pain as this nail is NOT actually attached. We then cleaned up all of the visible fungus for a quicker rehabilitation.

Patient was sent home with the proper products and educational information to keep this progress going in the right direction.

We want to be sandal ready by summer! 🌞

DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE INGROWN TOENAILS.

Let us help! This patient really went in at that ingrown, only to lose her entire nail.

Nails are cut shorter than I'd like. You want both "side walls" covered with nail.

Today, we did a medical pedicure. Cleaning out the lateral nail folds, removing all the dead skin so her nails can get back in the "tracks".... most importantly, the tips and tricks to do at home and boost some growth even over winter!

A hammertoe is usually caused by wearing shoes with high heels or narrow toe boxes. It usually occurs in the second, third or fourth toes.

I'm back and we have been having a blast! Diving right in to getting those feet ready for summer!

First yes, it's perfectly safe for the skin and nail!
The great toe and second toe have been reconstructed with a medical grade, flexible resin. There is no way for moisture to get trapped, like it would if you applied gel or acrylic.
The toes can heal, still grow and they do not have to look bad in the process!
