The Fourth of July should be fun for the entire family, your pets included. But fireworks can be very stressful for your pet. Follow these tips to have a fear-free holiday:
🎆 Don't take your dog with you to fireworks celebrations.
🏡 Minimize exposure to fireworks flashes by blocking windows or taking pets to a room with limited outside views.
🎶 Drown out external noises by using a white noise machine or playing calming music like classical or reggae for your pet.
🧥 Some pets benefit from a compression garment that can induce feelings of well-being.
🥼 Talk to your veterinarian if your dog seems upset during fireworks. They may suggest medications to help your dog relax.
