We’re celebrating Disability Pride Month and 35 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act!

Disability Pride Month commemorates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that was signed into law on July 26, 1990. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the ADA!

The ADA opened doors, broke barriers, and empowered millions of people with disabilities to be seen, heard, and accepted—creating a more equitable future for all.

At Greenleaf, we’re committed to building on this legacy by supporting job seekers with disabilities in their journeys to successful employment and educating others to do the same.

The services that support Ohioans with disabilities are essential and they’re at risk.

Greenleaf stands with our community in urging lawmakers not to cut funding for critical programs like Disability Rights Ohio, the Nisonger Center, and the University of Cincinnati CEDD.

These programs protect equal rights, promote independence, and help individuals with disabilities lead safe, productive lives.

Here at Greenleaf, we see the impact every day. Our participants rely on vocational training, job search support, and inclusive employment opportunities to thrive.

Every program matters. Every person matters.

School is out for summer, but Greenleaf participants are still learning in our summer job training programs!

With the help of the City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods and the Summer Youth Grant, we’re launching Greenleaf’s new EmpowerU summer youth training program.

We can’t wait to kick off with the first cohort of EmpowerU students in July!
