My dad jokes he didn't know gravy wasn't a soda until he was 16. (He doesn't even use the word soda so he clearly found that elsewhere.) Just this weekend my niece says she enjoys gravy like a soup. My nephew's very first non-milk food was a Thanksgiving gravy I made. All of this to say, we're clearly a good Midwest family that enjoys a bit of biscuits and gravy.

Then this past weekend I was in the middle of Indiana inside a gas station I had never heard of before and they had a big sign for a gravy sandwich. So we're doing that with my homemade biscuits, our REALLY great sausage gravy, a fried egg from and marble cheese from . Be ready to be comforted!

We’re getting to the end of the outdoor season and if you’ve been playing along we only have two punches to go!
