That’s a wrap on our Ear Tube Series! ✨
We’ve covered everything from why ear infections happen to how ear tubes are placed—and now, let’s bust a few final myths:
Myth: Kids can’t swim with ear tubes.
✅ Truth: Most kids can swim in chlorinated pools without earplugs! Lake water is different—earplugs are a must there.
Myth: You can use swimmer's ear drops with tubes.
✅ Truth: Avoid OTC drops—many contain alcohol and can cause painful burning.
Myth: Ear tubes cause hearing loss.
✅ Truth: They actually prevent it by keeping fluid out of the middle ear and maintaining healthy pressure.
