Position Title: Program Coordinator

Job Summary: The Program Coordinator provides clinical support to specific program areas. Provides supervision and guidance to staff through the daily operation of the program. Coordinates all activities of the program and assists the Program Director in other assigned duties.
Essential Functions: Essential functions and duties, are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. The Program Coordinator performs an integral role in carrying out the mission of Vision Support Network Counseling Center by performing the following duties:
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program. Plans and organizes the implementation of services relating to all programs. Ensures proper coverage of program and continuity of operations.
• Provides direct line clinical supervision of the program and staff. Obtains maximum utilization of staff by clearly defining duties, establishing performance standards, and conducting performance reviews of subordinates.
• Maintains quality control measures and monitors work quality for compliance with standards. Trains staff in appropriate documentation and record keeping. Monitors the need for professional development of staff.
• Clear understanding of ASAM LOC.
Competencies:
• Knowledge of chemical dependency, clinical practice and performance.
• Knowledge of federal laws and state laws, public and private resources pertaining to alcohol and drug counseling and rehabilitation services.
• Ability in the art of effective communication, documentation, interpersonal skills and decision making.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with federal, state, regional and local agencies, community leaders, and the general public.
• Ability to effectively provide supervision and guidance to program staff members and to motivate and train employees.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Minimal Qualifications:
• LCDC III, LSW, LPC, or higher credentials.
• Ability and knowledge of LOC’s/treatment plans and SUD’s.
• Knowledge of alcoholism and other addictions preferred.
• Knowledge of Domestic Violence (batterer/victim).
• Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Stays up to date with credentials and trainings.
