📣 Riverside Pediatric Associates Office Hours Update

This week, our office hours will be adjusted as we take time to honor and remember our dear colleague and friend, Donna Johnson, who faithfully served our patients and families for 29 years.

🕓 Tuesday, October 28: Phones will turn off at 4:00 PM for our Staff Appreciation Dinner.

🕒 Friday, October 31: Phones will turn off at 3:00 PM so our staff may attend calling hours.

🚪 Saturday, November 1: The office will be closed to allow our team to attend Donna’s funeral.

We appreciate your understanding as we take this time to celebrate Donna’s life and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. Thank you for your patience and support during this week. 💙

Triage Medical Assistant, Riverside Pediatric Associates

29 Years of Service, Compassion, and Love

For nearly three decades, Donna Johnson was a cornerstone of Riverside Pediatric Associates — a trusted triage medical assistant, a gentle guide for anxious parents, a steady support to her colleagues, and a beloved friend to so many of us. Her kindness was not just a quality; it was her way of life.

Donna’s laugh could light up the busiest of days. She brought warmth and calm to every phone call, every worried parent, and every child she helped care for. Her deep experience in pediatric care was matched only by her patience and compassion. When a new parent called, often anxious and uncertain, Donna’s reassuring voice was the first comfort they received. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Those who worked alongside Donna knew her as a true reflection of the Fruit of the Spirit — patient, gentle, kind, and full of love. She lived her faith in quiet, powerful ways: through a thoughtful gesture, a warm smile, a comforting word, or a listening ear. Whether she was helping a family, encouraging a coworker, or sharing a story with a physician, she radiated grace and goodness.

Donna had a gift for celebrating others. She found joy in the happiness and milestones of those around her. After an office baby shower, she went out of her way to find a special book she used to read to her boys — a book that had meant so much to her — so she could give it to a new mother and baby. It was just one of many small, deeply thoughtful acts that showed the size of her heart.

Outside of work, Donna shared her life’s simple joys — stories of camping with her family, laughter over her beloved dogs, and the everyday moments that made her smile. One colleague remembers how they texted dog pictures every night, and how Donna would giggle about being “naughty” for texting during church. It’s those little glimpses — her humor, her warmth, her genuine delight in life — that we will hold onto always.

Donna’s absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her presence lingers in the best possible way — in the care we give, the kindness we extend, and the joy we share with others.
For 29 years, Donna gave Riverside Pediatric Associates her time, her heart, and her love. And though she is no longer with us, her spirit continues to inspire and guide us every day.
We will miss her laughter, her wisdom, her warmth — but most of all, we will miss Donna.
