A Dutch supermarket figured that not everyone wants to rush.

The chain Jumbo introduced “chat checkouts” (Kletskassa) for customers who aren’t in a hurry — especially elderly or lonely customers who simply wanted someone to talk to. No pressure. No hurry. Just conversation.

The idea worked so well that Jumbo rolled it out to around 200 stores across the Netherlands. Many locations also added “chat corners” — cozy spots where locals can sit, have coffee, and talk. It’s a small change with a meaningful impact.

Because sometimes, what people need most… is to be noticed. ❤

As we began our day with a prayer and a smile, we want to count our blessings!!! In addition to our selfless caregivers we must shoutout Stephanie Fletcher-Joiner, Cummins Inc, and Fletcher Auto Center, Franklin! Our fearless leader and her amazing chauffeur were unintentionally pushed to the edge of the road by another driver and they felt the truck sink on the passenger side. Both said "uh-oh" but a little slipping and sliding and that truck pulled itself right out. !Our caregivers will show up thanks to these blessings!! , ,
