We love our partnerships! Thank you The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center! ❤️🩶

Honored to partner with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, OSUCCC-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and OSU Hospital East in celebration of Social Work Month!

Our team had the privilege of providing continuing education for their dedicated Social Workers and Case Managers, featuring an engaging presentation on Dementia, Behavioral Health, and Redirection strategies. The session was led by Dr. Daniel Heiser, Vice President of Behavioral Health at GuideStar Eldercare.

We were thrilled by the strong participation and meaningful discussions, and it was wonderful to see teams learning together while enjoying lunch. Most importantly, we’re proud to support education that can be immediately incorporated into daily patient care and interactions.

Thank you for the continued collaboration and for the opportunity to work together in serving our shared patients. We deeply value this partnership and look forward to many more opportunities ahead.

🌟 National Social Worker Month Spotlight 🌟

This month, we’re proud to recognize the incredible impact our social workers make every day. Today we’re shining the spotlight on Sarah Isaac’s, our Licensed Social Worker at New Albany Care Center! 💙

How long have you been working in a SNF setting, and what brought you to New Albany Care Center?

I began my journey with New Albany Care Center amid the Pandemic in January 2021 as a Masters Social Work Intern with The Ohio State University. After completing my internship with OSU and graduating with an MSW, I began working full-time as a Social Services Coordinator in January 2023.

What inspired you to be a social worker and what do you love most about working with our patients?

I have always enjoyed working with others and understanding their stories and motivations. When a patient comes to a facility likes ours, something difficult has happened in their life. Helping residents and families understand the journey from admission to discharge while offering encouragement and guidance is an honor. Every discharge I put together I consider a gift to a patient. Every discharge is as unique as the person and it’s such a thrill watching patients regain independence and move forward towards their goals. With our long-term care residents, it’s a privilege to witness the everyday with residents, whether it’s helping a patient choose which ancillary service they want or listening to a resident’s story from childhood.

What is a fun fact about you outside of work?

I absolutely love birds and have three adorable rescue parrots. My two Green Cheek Conures are named Truman and Eisenhower; my third parrot is an African Grey parrot named Zorro who likes to whistle classic rock tunes.🦜

Thank you, Sarah, for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring to our residents and their families every day. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the New Albany Care Center team!

We had an incredible time celebrating Black History Month at New Albany Care Center and Cranberry Park Assisted Living! ❤️🖤💚

Our residents and staff came together to honor rich history and culture in the most delicious way possible — with a soul food feast prepared by our very own talented team! From savory classics to sweet favorites, every dish was made with love and shared with joy.

The room was filled with laughter, stories, music, and a true sense of community. We are so proud of our staff for not only caring for our residents every day, but also sharing their culinary gifts and cultural traditions to make this celebration so meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event special. Moments like these remind us that we are more than a care center — we are family. 💛

🇺🇸 A Hero’s Salute at New Albany Care Center & Cranberry Park 🇺🇸

Today we were honored to welcome Beth Johnson from Honor Flight Columbus as she joined us for A Hero’s Salute in recognition of our veterans.

New Albany Care Center is proud to be home to a World War II Veteran, and we were deeply moved to celebrate his service and sacrifice.

We were also joined by Navy Veteran Rick Cullison, who took his Honor Flight in 2021. Rick graciously spoke about his unforgettable flight day and the meaningful memories he made during this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Thank you to all our veterans for your courage, commitment, and service. We are grateful—today and every day. 🇺🇸❤️
