North Central Mental Health Services, Inc. North Central Mental Health Services is a comprehensive, community mental health & recovery center.

Services Provided by North Central include:

Elder Focus - An array of mental health and recovery services focused on the needs of persons age 60 and over. Family Focus - Outpatient clinic based mental health and chemical dependence treatment services for children, adolescents, families and adults. Recovery Support - A broad range of services for persons working to achieve the highest level of recovery possible from the effects of severe and persistent mental illness. Recovery Assistance - Support for persons requiring coordination of their services and for others requiring minimal assistance in their recovery journey. Intensive Recovery - A range of more intense team based services offer to those whose recovery from mental illness and/or addiction is more strongly challenged. Transitional Teams - Team based services for young persons with serious difficulties that began in youth or adolescence and who will likely need significant support to achieve either transition to the adult system or a level of recovery sufficient enough to permit them to leave the treatment system. Community Teams - Team based recovery oriented services designed to assist adult consumers to achieve and maintain successful living in the community. Dual Disorders - Team based services for adults recovering from the effects of both severe/persistent mental illness and addiction. Residential Services - A variety of housing options for adults with severe/persistent mental illness, addiction or both. Suicide Prevention - North Central operates the largest 988 call center in the State of Ohio for persons who are suicidal or enduring an emotional crisis 24/7/365. Prevention and Education - Educating the community about mental health issues and working with other community organizations to enhance the quality of life in Franklin County. Psychiatry - Assessment, consultation and treatment by trained physicians and nurses.

North Central proudly hosted its Annual Meeting on November 13, 2025, at the Fawcett Center, bringing together our board, partners, and dedicated staff for recognition, reflection, and shared purpose. We were honored to welcome Derrick Clay, President and CEO of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, as our keynote speaker, whose insight and leadership set an inspiring tone for the event.

We also celebrated the outstanding contributions of our team, including the recognition of our Employee of the Year, Kelli Green, Soaring Sober Dual Clinician, as well as our Most Supportive Employee of the Year, Stephanie Asman, Clinic Registered Nurse. Their commitment and excellence exemplify the values that continue to move North Central forward.

Join us next month on Saturday, November 15th from 11am-3pm for the third annual Spaceway Art Show. In collaboration with 1221 Art Space, artists will be showcasing their work in both buildings. Our snack bar will be open, and we'll be serving special drinks and beverages for the event. Plus we'll have a fundraising raffle with several prizes up for grabs, so be sure to stick around to see if you won!
