This National Volunteer Appreciation Month, we celebrate our compassionate and caring volunteers 💙

Your compassion, kindness, and willingness to walk alongside our patients and families during life’s most tender moments does not go unnoticed. Because of you, no one has to walk this journey alone.

Thank you for the time you give, the comfort you bring, and the difference you make each and every day. We are endlessly grateful for you.

⭐️Staff Spotlight⭐️ Dipti Patel or “Dee” has been a Community Liaison with Columbus Hospice for six and a half years! She loves her role with Columbus Hospice because it gives her the opportunity to build authentic, trusted relationships within the community and she is able to educate families and professionals on what hospice care is and what makes Columbus Hospice unique. We are so grateful to have Dee as part of our team!

Grief doesn’t have an age limit—and no child should have to walk through it alone. 💛

Camp Hope for Children, hosted by Columbus Hospice, provides a safe, supportive space for children and teens (ages 6–16) who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Through fun activities, meaningful conversations, and creative expression, campers learn they are not alone—and that their feelings are valid.

Thanks to generous sponsors like AFLAC, Camp Hope is offered at no cost to families.

If you know a child who could benefit from Camp Hope, we encourage you to learn more: https://www.columbushospice.com/camphope

⭐️Staff Spotlight⭐️ When we asked Lindsey to share about her experience with Columbus Hospice, she said, “ I began my journey at Columbus Hospice as a home CNA about 25 years ago. One thing that stood out at Columbus Hospice is that every team member is equally valued, no matter their role!
Working alongside some of the most selfless nurses encouraged me to want to do more, so l enrolled in nursing school.
Even at that young age, I realized hospice was my passion, but I also understood that I needed more nursing experience and emotional maturity to handle the challenges of hospice care.
After many years of growth and experience, both personally and professionally, I rejoined the Columbus Hospice team in 2020 as an RN on the inpatient unit.
Hospice is my passion because it gives me the opportunity to meet people where they are, to provide comfort, peace, and often joy to patients and their families during one of life's most significant transitions. I choose Columbus Hospice because we are a family, working together to provide the best possible care for our patients, families, and the community.” We are so grateful to have Lindsey on our team and caring for our patients and families!
