Looking to do something this month? Here’s a local event for good cause.

Donations can be dropped off at the food bank or at the Kettle River Grange the night of the event. We will auction anything and everything. Gift baskets are fun and so is the wine. Any baked goods or home canned items. Always a great time and it benefits the Food Bank. Come Join us for a potluck dinner or just the auction. Giving Tuesday: Whatever you decide to give to whatever organization, know that the act of giving has positive impacts on the body. It increases endorphins which are natural pain killers. Helping an organization make its goal releases dopamine. This is the group I give to each year, Mindspring, which offers a plethera of support for mental health. I take advantage of their free one hour trainings on a variety of topics which keeps my skill set sharp.

This is the the goal of childhood trauma therapy. Sometimes we need someone else to help us walk portions of this path. When we let go (not forget but put in perspective) of wounds that are not ours; such as what may be perceived as abusive behavior is another person’s disregulation leaking onto our storyline. When we heal we change the narrative of what happens in our family lineage.
