I’ve said it once & ill say it again! We truly have the best staff here!

Jess comes up with the best craft ideas for our residents! This one may be my favorite so far!! “Glass pumpkins” She truly puts so much thought into these crafts! Our residents just love doing them! Than you Jess for doing this with them! 🖤

Everyday is party around here but especially during assisted living week!

So far this week we have had a themed day with a lunch to follow that theme 🙂 So far we have had

Hawaiian day
Taco Tuesday (PJ day)
Sports day (Golden bowl party)
Thursday is Pirate day- (seafood boil)
And of course Red Friday - Chhhhhiiiefs. Where we will have a pizza party!

We loved getting to do this for our community! Last night we served out 8 taco meals! We loved doing this so much that we are excited to announce that we are going to serve meals again in thee month of September!

Fun fact: Root beer floats were accidentally invented in 1893 by Frank J. Wisner, the owner of a Colorado brewing company. He was inspired by the snowy white peaks on the dark Cow Mountain and thought they looked like vanilla ice cream floating on root beer. The next day, he dropped a scoop of vanilla ice cream into root beer—and the iconic treat was born. He originally called it a “Black Cow,” which is still a nickname for root beer floats today! 🥤🍦

Alice Ione Colton, 96, of Colwich, died August 8, 2025, at Colwich Gardens. She was born May 29, 1929, in Wells, Kansas, to Fred and Ada Matson Harder. On December 27, 1953, she married Max Colton in Wells, Kansas. They shared 51 years of marriage before his death on April
