Happy Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for! Today we hosted a traditional Thanksgiving day meal for all of our residents to enjoy with their neighbors. Chef Jorge and his team put together a great menu and was enjoyed by all!

The holiday season is approaching quickly! Our holiday celebrations will be taking place early this year with our Children's Holiday Party on Saturday December 6th from 11:00am to 12:30pm.

Our adult holiday party will be on Wednesday, December 10th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with live music by Shane Courtenay. This event is limited to 2 guests per resident due to limited seating.

Today we celebrated both our DCI Anne and our DBS Gabby with an amazing spread provided by our DCS Jorge!

Anne plays a crucial role in a resident’s acclimation to our community and continues to serve as a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on for our residents every day. She is very knowledgeable in memory care and provides our community with ongoing training and providing tools to best serve our residents. If you see Anne today, be sure to thank her for all she does on DCI Day!

All of our families know Gabby, our business services director. She works very hard making sure that our billing department functions efficiently and that any business related inquiries are resolved in a timely manner. While we are sad to see Gabby go, we are excited for her to continue on a new path and see what the future has in store for her!

A common concern families have when exploring their options is how their loved one will acclimate with other residents. In our community, there is truly someone for everyone.

In this video, Pasquale and Lina are having a conversation in Italian, their native language. They did not know eachother before moving into Artis, however they have been able to bond over their shared language, culture, and lived experiences in their home country, Italy 🇮🇹

Our residents are able to make connections and friendships here in our community every day. It might take some time, but every one of our residents has atleast one neighbor they call a good friend.

It’s World Kindness day, and who better to celebrate than our DCIs. 💖

Our Directors of Community Integration have a role focused entirely on ensuring residents are welcomed with intention, care plans are aligned holistically, families are communicated with proactively, and Artis associates are supported with robust dementia education from day one.

In other words, they’re the Directors of helping people belong.
