Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Social Worker, Post-Doctoral Psychologist, or licensed Psychologist located in Commack, NY. This provider will be responsible for providing psychological assessment, counseling, and behavioral / cognitive-behavioral services to clients. Day-to-day tasks include conducting psychological evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and offering therapeutic interventions. The provider will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Company Description

Our practice specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, offering individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis and has experience doing child / family work with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). For post-doctoral clinicians, we offer supervision to meet licensure requirements.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge and at least some experience with behavioral and cognitive behavioral interventions

Experience in Counseling and Psychological Assessments

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Masters Degree in Social Work or Doctoral degree in Psychology or related field.

Experience in behavioral health or clinical settings is a plus

Wages are commensurate with experience and credentials.

My practice is currently looking to hire a psychologist, social worker, or a mental health counselor.

This position is an opportunity for clinical experience and/or supervision with a growing group practice. We offer therapy for adults, adolescents and children with a specialized focus on autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, challenging behaviors, as well as parent training/support

Assessment experience, especially with autism, preferred but not required.
This job allows for flexibility to arrange preferred hours.

Conveniently located in Commack, we provide office space, remote support, administrative assistance, a collaborative team, and the opportunity to engage in case consultation. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Could be a Licensed Psychologist, Limited Permit Psychologist Ph.D. or Psy.D.(from an APA-accredited graduate program in psychology), LCSW, LMSW, LMHC
-Previous varied experiences working with children and families from diverse backgrounds preferred
-Comprehensive diagnostic intake skills and interest in complexity preferred
-Intellectually curious with ability to conceptualize cases from multiple perspectives (e.g., biological, behavioral, family systems,etc.)
-Experience and knowledge of evidence-based approaches such as behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and parent training
