Kids First is thrilled to welcome Tania Baxter as the newest member of the Board of Directors!

Tania, Founder of Baxter Enterprises, provides Fractional COO services to nonprofits and mission-driven businesses. A seasoned operations leader, she brings deep expertise in team development, organizational strategy, and equitable access initiatives.

Fluent in Spanish, Tania has a strong connection to the communities served by Kids First Health Care. She has designed and led programs that build partnerships between local farmers and food justice initiatives, helping expand access to nutritious food and essential services for underserved families. Her leadership has been recognized with the 2020 Leader of the Year award and the Business of the Year award from the City of Northglenn, Colorado.

Tania also serves on the advisory board for the UCCS Executive Women in Leadership program, helping to shape curriculum that supports the next generation of diverse leaders.

In 2024, she summited Mount Kilimanjaro, an experience that reflects her adventurous spirit, commitment to personal growth, and belief in the importance of work-life balance. For Tania, the climb was more than a challenge—it was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when you push beyond perceived limits.

Kids First has officially opened its newest clinic - in partnership with Maiker Housing Partners - at 3075 W. 71st. Avenue in Westminster!

The clinic – which serves patients from birth to 21 – is conveniently located in the retail space at Maiker’s Alto Community.

Pediatric primary care services available include:

* Physical health – well child check ups, sports physicals, vaccines, reproductive health, sick visits, management of chronic disease such as asthma, and more.

* Mental health care – brief visits with a counselor, as well as one-on-one therapy.

* Enrollment in Medicaid and CHP+, and support accessing other immediate needs resources.

Westminster Public Schools' own Dr. Gotto and her team came out to tour the Kids First Health Care Community Clinic at Alto in Westminster last week!

This is Kids First's ninth pediatric clinic, which is nestled within Maiker Housing Partners' Alto Community. This unique co-location model is designed to disrupt generational poverty and enable more equitable health outcomes for all children.

We are so excited to start seeing patients (from birth to 21) in a few weeks!

WPS is an incredible partner, and we are inspired by their approach to education that supports the whole child so they can achieve their fullest potential!
