We are excited to highlight Jakob Van Zweden next in our Senior Spotlight!

Jakob is taking the next step in his hockey career after graduating from Waterford Mott by joining the Fresh Coast Freeze junior team! He has been a member with us since last summer, logging over 130 sessions with us as an Elite athlete. As a standout for Lakes United, Jakob brought leadership and intensity as team captain every time he hit the ice.

His hard work paid off this season with several impressive honors:

🏆 Scholar-Athlete
🏆 Outstanding Senior Male Athlete

New sports performance trainer Alert! Nina has joined the AR Family!

Nina holds both a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from West Liberty University and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Newcastle University (UK), a globally recognized institution ranked among the top 110 universities in the world (2024). A former collegiate volleyball player, Nina competed for both West Liberty and Newcastle during her studies, bringing firsthand experience of the demands placed on high-performing student athletes. During her time in England, Nina interned with Durham Women’s FC, a professional women’s soccer team, where she gained valuable experience in applied sports science and athlete monitoring. Her background includes working with a wide range of athletes across different sports and performance levels, allowing her to tailor training programs to meet individual and team needs. Nina is passionate about helping athletes reach their full potential through evidence-based training and support.

College athlete spotlight!! We want to highlight Macie Hunter!

Macie will be attending Grand Valley State University to continue her academic and athletic career as a member of their soccer program! Since joining us last year, we have thoroughly enjoyed working with her! She always shows up with a dedicated attitude and is ready to get after it every session! During her senior season at Walled Lake Northern, she received these well-deserved accolades:

Local Parents of Student Athletes Open Training Center

Ginger and Tim Kennedy spent years trying to find local Sports Performance Training for their sons for years. Finally they decided “if you are going to do something right do it yourself”. They searched for the right location for years and finally found their home in Commerce Township, in the heart of the community their sons grew up loving. As the business came together more services are added. Check out the website for the elite services they have brought to the area.

COVID-19 was a downer, being they opened on Februay 8, 2020 and closed on March 16th due to EO. Being registered as medical with our Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, CryoTherapy and Training Protocols for Injury Prevention we were able to open on a limited basis. Come visit and see what they can do for you!
