Our special guest, Frank Sinatra serenaded the Westlake residents with "New York, New York," as they enjoyed cocktail hour. After, residents dined on prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes and Broccolini. The grand finale' was a decadent bananas foster. After, residents cashed in their winnings at the Casino Store. Everyone was a winner at the 2025 Casino Theme week!

Play Ball! Westlake Health campus resident, Bev had her dreams come true yesterday. She is a Detroit Tiger fan and has always wanted to catch a ball. The universe heard her yesterday as the Detroit Tigers creamed the Houston Astros with a score of 7-2 and the ball went right to her!!!! Trilogy grants dreams to our residents, and we can make them happen. Look at that smile! It doesn't get any better than that!!! Roar! The Tigers did not disappoint!

Residents from Westlake Health Campus, Novi Lakes and Orchard Grove met at the Belle Isle Aquarium in Detroit. It is the oldest aquarium in North America , opened in 1904 and features a variety of freshwater fish from the Great Lakes and rivers. It also has some saltwater fish and coral. After they all enjoyed a picnic lunch. Westlake continued its Detroit tour with a visit of Michigan Central Station, St. Anne's Basilica and a peak at the new Gordie Howe Bridge.

Westlake Health Campus celebrated Betty's centennial birthday with her friends, family, a concert, cake, and roses. Senator Jim Runestads' office presented her with a special tribute from the State of Michigan. To give one an idea of what was happening in 1925, the president was Calvin Coolidge. The novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby, was published. Edwin Hubble presented findings of the existence of the Milky Way galaxy. A movie ticket was 15 cents. New York City was the largest city in the world. Betty lived during the roaring twenties. There was no refrigerator, microwave, or blow-dryer, and only a few bathrooms. Can you imagine? We celebrate you today, Betty! She said her secret to her longevity is lots of chocolate!

That's a wrap! Campus In Color judging was today at Westlake Health Campus. Trilogy support , Alyssa and Mike walked through and enjoyed the magical and mystical gardens... Mary Poppins and Bert along with residents and families planned, planted, watered and weeded to make a lovely garden for all. As Mary Poppins would say, "Its Perfect in Every way!"

Resident at Westlake Health Campus visited The Capuchin Monastery in Detroit. They had a private tour and paid their respects to Father Solanus Casey's grave. Father Solanus is being considered for canonization in the Catholic Church.
