JWCH Institute, Inc. and California Department of Health Care Services broke ground yesterday on an adult residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment facility and wellness center in Skid Row.

The facility will provide low-barrier mental health and SUD services to people experiencing homelessness and people experiencing mental health issues.

A community wellness center will serve 3,258 individuals and an adult residential SUD treatment facility will house 38 beds.
