Hulsey Therapy Services is proud to be able to offer a state-of-the-art Aquatic rehab and conditioning program in addition to comprehensive Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Athletic Training and Speech Pathology. Hulsey Therapy Services was established January 2000, and has grown to be the largest outpatient facility in Hunt County. Our 8,000 square foot facility in Commerce Texas, plus our
5,000 square foot facility in Greenville Texas, are both fully equipped with all the lasted and up-to-date medical rehab equipment. Our continued commitment to our patients is to help each patient reach their maximal possible medical benefit through active participation in rehab instruction, modalities, and an individualized exercise program. Both facilities, Commerce and Greenville, are equipped with a 4,000-gallon heated therapy pool, which is widely recognized as the most effective means of rehabilitation for many orthopedic and non-orthopedic conditions. Our pools are both located ON-Site, so that patient can utilized the Aquatic pool in coordination with any other necessary therapy intervention. Each facility pool has been designed with three levels of water depth to accommodate a variety of patient’s heights and conditions. We also provide instruction for patients who wish to continue their rehab program on a individual maintenance program after their formal therapy intervention is completed. Exercise instruction is given by licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapy Assistants, or an Athletic Trainer, all who have been specially trained in aquatics. Hulsey Therapy Services also has available a FDA approved Laser. (Erchonia PL4000) We have begun utilizing this advanced modality for improving our patient’s dysfunction and pain. Noted benefits of this 635 nm device are, but not limited to: reduction of trigger point pain and radiculapathy, increase capsular flexibility, enhanced blood flow, reduce time for tissue repair. There have been numerous scientific studies and are many research articles that discuss different aspects of Low Laser Light Therapy (LLLT), each with their own unique perspective. Physical Therapy is the examination, treatment and instruction of patients to detect, assess, prevent, correct and alleviate physical disability and pain from injury, disease, disorders or physical deformities. Occupational Therapy applies everyday living to help people with physical or mental disabilities to achieve maximum function and independence at home and in the workplace.
