The common cold

In contrast to the flu, a common cold can be caused by many different types of viruses. The condition is usually harmless and symptoms usually resolve within two weeks.
Symptoms: runny nose, sneezing, congestion
High fever or severe symptoms are reasons to see a doctor, especially in children.
Most people recover on their own within two weeks. Over-the-counter products and home remedies can help control symptoms.

Scan the QR code to fill out the flu questionnaire, then schedule your appointment by calling the clinic at (903)886-5853. Flu shots are given Monday-Friday 9am-11am and 1pm-4pm. There are a limited number of flu shots available, so this will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Temperatures are supposed to hit triple digits. Staying hydrated is essential during such extreme heat. It's also a good idea to limit outdoor activities, especially during the hottest parts of the day, to avoid heat-related illnesses. If you experience heat-related symptoms such as heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, fatigue, and muscle cramps, please seek medical attention at Student Health Services or the nearest emergency room.
