A Scrubtious Story

ScrubtiousInc founder Shannon Clark was raised in Compton, California where she learned to make natural skincare products in 2008 for her then 1 year old nephew whom suffered from a severe case of eczema. While searching for the perfect blend of moisture rich oils and soaps she stumbled upon her perfect secret blend, giving us the original Body butter "Huggy's butter" suitably named after her nephew. After years of testing and discovering new beneficial ingredients a whole line of products have been produced for the masses. The personal dedication she showed to bettering the product for family has spilled into a beautiful product available for consumers everywhere. For Shannon, creating natural skincare products is an intimate process. Before deciding on the oil base, she thinks about how a product can have health benefits and the type of skin (Dry, Oily, Combination). She studies and verifies uses of natural ingredients from different cultures and organic ways of life. Once she’s ready to craft a product, she treats the raw material as a product she would use herself. Completely opposed to an industrial approach, she hand crafts the product to insure product continuity and quality. You can feel the love in this product in every ounce.
