You don’t need a perfect routine to support your health—you need consistency.

Even short bouts of movement, like 10–15 minutes of moderate cardio, have been associated with improved cardiovascular health, better circulation, and long-term wellness benefits. Over time, these small efforts add up.

Whether it’s biking at home, a quick walk outside, a swim, or a short run—your body responds to regular movement, not intensity alone.

Walking, in particular, remains one of the most accessible and underrated forms of exercise. It supports heart health, metabolic function, and mental clarity—without requiring anything more than your time.

If today is busy, let this be your reminder: something is always better than nothing.

Your future self benefits from what you do today.

Today we’re celebrating two things close to our hearts 🌎💛—Earth Day and the birthday of the incredible Dr. Sarah.

This reel captures the in-between moments… the laughter, the silliness, the realness behind building Aya together. Because while the days can be full and sometimes challenging, it’s these small, joy-filled moments that remind us why we do what we do.

Dr. Sarah brings so much heart, intention, and genuine care to every patient she meets. The love and trust she’s cultivated in this community doesn’t happen by accident—it’s who she is, every single day.

And beyond all of that, I get to call her my best friend. Building this dream together has been one of the greatest gifts.

Here’s to celebrating the magic in the little moments, the impact of truly caring for others, and the joy of walking this path side by side.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Sarah 🤍 and Happy Earth Day—may we continue to care deeply for both our people and our planet.

In between patients, protocols, and full clinic days… we step outside.

Not because we have extra time—
but because we know what happens when we don’t.

Fresh air. Movement. Nervous system reset.
Even in the cold. Even when it’s inconvenient.

This is something we talk about with our patients every day—
and something we’re committed to practicing ourselves.

Plus… we have a very convincing walking partner 🐾

Your health isn’t built in big, perfect moments.
It’s built in small choices—again and again.

Even a 10-minute walk counts 🤍

One of the most impactful things I’ve done for my health lately…
has nothing to do with supplements.

I started blocking time.

For me, that looks like protecting ~2 weekends a month to be home, reset, and actually live my life.
And the ripple effects have been bigger than I expected:

I meal plan.
I eat better—without overthinking it.
I have more energy during the week.
I actually have the capacity to try new hobbies (instead of just thinking about them).

It’s not about being perfect—or blocking entire weekends.

It might look like:
→ a few hours on a Sunday
→ one evening during the week
→ saying no to one extra thing

Because if your schedule is full… your nervous system is too.

And no supplement fixes that.

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin lately, this might be your sign to block a little space—and see what shifts.

What would you protect time for right now? 👇

Most people don’t come to us first.

They come after feeling rushed…
dismissed…
or like their symptoms didn’t quite “fit the box.”
And over time, that starts to wear on you.

So we built Aya differently.

✨ A space where you’re actually listened to
✨ Care that looks at the root cause—not just symptoms
✨ Clear pricing, no surprises
✨ Thoughtful, evidence-based treatment plans
✨ Time spent teaching you what’s happening in your body—and why

We can’t promise perfect outcomes.
But we can promise this:

You’ll feel safe.
You’ll feel respected.
And you’ll finally feel heard.

If you’ve been looking for care that feels different—this is it.

If you’re struggling to focus, it might not be a motivation problem—it might be a brain chemistry + environment problem.

Here are 3 unconventional (but effective) ways to get your brain back online:
1️⃣ Control your sound environment
Your brain is constantly scanning for threats + distractions. Give it fewer inputs → more focus.
Try: ear plugs, noise-canceling headphones, or focus music.
2️⃣ Add structured novelty
Your ADHD brain craves dopamine—but also needs structure.
Try this: write tasks on slips of paper, put them in a jar, and draw one. It creates just enough novelty to get started.
3️⃣ Cold water = instant reset
Cold exposure can spike dopamine + alertness fast.
Even 10–30 seconds of cold water on your face can shift your state.

Small shifts → big focus.

Which one are you trying first?

We’re still reflecting on how special this past weekend felt.

So much of what we do in clinic is one-on-one, but events like Sauna & Sync remind us how powerful it is to bring women together in a shared space—learning, experiencing, and reconnecting with their bodies.

We are incredibly grateful to for inviting us to host this series and for creating such a beautiful environment centered around health, ritual, and community.

Having our preceptorship student there added another layer of meaning for us. Being able to share this work through her lens—and to see how much this medicine resonates with the next generation—reminds us why teaching and mentorship are such an important part of our practice.

It’s not just about what we do—it’s about how this work continues to grow and reach more people.

To everyone who joined us, thank you. We hope you felt as supported, empowered, and inspired as we did.

If you need a breakfast that actually holds you over—these are it.

These spiced seed muffins are built differently:
✔️ High fiber
✔️ Solid protein
✔️ Healthy fats
→ which means more stable blood sugar, better energy, and no “hangry” mid-morning crash

They’re also:
• Great for cholesterol support (thanks to flax + seeds)
• Easy to batch prep
• Grab-and-go for busy mornings

✨ How I eat them:
With coconut yogurt + almond butter + h**p hearts + berries
→ turns it into a fully balanced meal (protein + fat + fiber)

👇 Recipe (save this!)
• 1 cup ground flaxseed
• ¾ cup pumpkin seeds
• ½ cup walnuts
• 3 Tbsp chia seeds
• 2 Tbsp psyllium husk
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ¾ tsp salt
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• ¾ tsp ginger
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
• ¼ tsp cardamom
• 4 eggs
• ¾ cup coconut milk
• 2–3 Tbsp water
• 2 Tbsp olive oil
• 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
• 1 tsp vanilla
Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes

💡 Make a batch and keep them in the fridge or freezer for the week

A few days wandering NYC gave us something we don’t always make time for: space to think.

Somewhere between coffee and long walks we realized how grateful we are to be building Aya together. Working with someone you genuinely like is rare.

Feeling recharged and excited to bring that energy back to our patients and community.

Sauna and cold plunge are trending everywhere right now—but most of the advice is built around male physiology.

Women’s bodies respond differently to heat, cold exposure, and stress depending on hormonal shifts—whether you are cycling, in perimenopause, or postmenopausal.

When used intentionally, hydrotherapy can support circulation, metabolism, mood, detox pathways, and nervous system resilience.

When used without considering hormonal shifts, it can sometimes contribute to elevated cortisol, fatigue, or sleep disruption.

That’s why we created Sauna & Sync—a women-only hydrotherapy experience designed around female physiology.

We’ll begin with a 30-minute Hormone Masterclass, where we’ll walk through how women’s bodies respond to heat and cold across the menstrual cycle, during periods of high stress, and through perimenopause and menopause.

Then we’ll guide you through a sauna and cold plunge experience where you’ll learn how to use timing, intensity, and breathwork to work with your hormones—not against them.

Small group. Expert-led. Designed specifically for women.

What if Alzheimer’s risk worked more like a 17-point inspection than a random diagnosis?

For decades, we were told there was little we could do about Alzheimer’s disease.

But newer research shows that cognitive decline is often driven by multiple modifiable factors — including inflammation, blood sugar regulation, sleep quality, toxins, stress, and hormone balance.
When we identify and address those drivers, both prevention and treatment become possible.

I’ll be walking through this research — and what it means for protecting your brain — at a free event on March 25th.
