Event Details:
Racing Without Limits
Saturday, Jan. 31 | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
New England Racing Museum
922 Rte. 106 N, Loudon, New Hampshire

Joining Racing Without Limits is šš«š¢ššš§ š‡ššš§šššŸšØš«š, creator of the adaptive motorsports nonprofit Accessible Racing, which brings the thrill of race car driving to people of all abilities.
Brian grew up immersed in racing as the son of New England Motorsports Hall of Famer Harold ā€œHard Luckā€ Hanaford, but his own path took unexpected turns. A gifted athlete with natural speed, Brian was a Junior Olympic mile champion before a traumatic brain injury abruptly ended his running career and left him temporarily paralyzed. Years of recovery followed—both physically and emotionally.
In 2002, Brian found new purpose after inviting a wheelchair-bound participant to ride in a race car, an experience that sparked the creation of Accessible Racing. As co-owner and inventor of the nonprofit, Brian partnered with a mobile retrofitting company to transform race cars for drivers with disabilities and has personally worked on modifying two participants’ vehicles.
Despite enduring multiple serious accidents, brain surgery, broken hips, and a stroke, Brian continues to shift the focus outward—helping others regain confidence, mobility, and independence through motorsports. For this event, Brian will have an adaptive race car on display at the museum, giving visitors a firsthand look at how innovation and inclusion come together on the track. His life’s work proves that limits don’t define Join us for this powerful roundtable discussion led by Justin St. Louis
