Our Story
On Memorial Day in 2010 we lost our beloved 20-year old son, Aaron, in a tragic car accident.
Faced with multiple decisions at a time of extreme emotional upheaval, we stumbled our way into a fitting memorial service and interment for our son. Some providers we spoke with were genuine and caring, while others seemed to be simply going through the motions--or even worse--in it only for profit. All the decisions we faced were difficult, and we felt overwhelmed and vulnerable.
Not long after that, we began to talk about how we might be able to ease other peoples’ journeys by helping out during a difficult time that we eventually all face—either with the loss of a loved one or when making our own end of life plans. Our love of the land and this area led us to purchase Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, a beautiful 30-acre setting complete with a pond located in eastern Cabarrus County. We feel privileged to care for these grounds and the legacy of the souls resting here in our care, and we value all of the families and individuals who have already entrusted us with this responsibility. Just recently, we've added Cabarrus Funeral and Cremations--an end of life planning, funeral, and cremation service--a new alternative for our community.
And so out of our own personal tragedy has come the amazing gift of being able to help others. We do this from the heart, and always in honor of Aaron.
