✨Meet the Board Monday✨👋
Ann Petersson, RDN, LD is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LD) as well as the practice manager for in downtown Concord, NH.

Becoming an RD is a second career for Ann who attended UNH for her verification statement and Wellness Workdays for her internship. Ann believes this work is her calling and enjoys the close-knit community of dietitians in New Hampshire and New England.

Ms. Petersson’s experience includes roles as a clinical dietitian, behavioral health dietitian, campus dietitian, and outpatient dietitian. She enjoys working with clients of all ages, shapes, sizes, and genders to offer medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as hypertension, elevated cholesterol and lipids, diabetes, and more.

Ms. Petersson specializes in treating disordered eating and eating disorders, providing counseling to individuals, their caregivers, and treatment team.

In 2022, Ms. Petersson was awarded the Emerging Leader in Dietetics Award by the New Hampshire Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (NHAND) in recognition of her competence and numerous professional activities. She currently serves on the New Hampshire Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (NHAND) as Nominating Committee chair. Ann has been part of the NHAND Board since 2017.

Rebecca Schubert, MS, RDN, NBC-HWC is the owner of One Step Nutrition Coaching, a telehealth-based private practice in New Hampshire. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach with a passion for human behavior and a mission to empower individuals to optimize their well-being. Rebecca holds master’s degrees in Nutrition Education and Executive Leadership and brings over twenty years of experience in health and wellness to her work.

She has presented to healthcare professionals, corporate teams, and academic institutions on topics including long-term behavior change, values-based coaching, and sustainable weight loss strategies.

When she’s not working, Rebecca enjoys pushing herself beyond her comfort zone, whether through endurance sports, adventure travel, or taking on new personal and professional challenges.

Jen Messer, MS, RDN, LD, CLC is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Immediate Past President of the New Hampshire Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (NHAND).

She owns and operates Jen Messer Nutrition, where she provides evidence-based counseling in cardiometabolic health and performance nutrition using practical, sustainable, food-first strategies. Her experience across community health, hospital settings, higher education, and food service supports her commitment to professional mentorship and advancing the impact of dietitians across settings.

Outside of work, Jen enjoys hiking, running, strength training, and spending time with her husband and three daughters.

NHAND President, Stephanie Chmielecki, is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Director of the MS in Nutrition and Human Performance Program at Merrimack College.

She has served on the NHAND Board of Directors as the State Policy Representative, Public Policy Chair, and President-Elect before becoming President in 2025.

In addition to serving on the NHAND Board, Stephanie is the Director for the Bedford NH Community Food Pantry. A firm believer in the power of community, Stephanie strives to create a supportive and enriching environment that fosters professional growth.
