We’re excited to invite you to a meaningful day at the NH Food Bank in Manchester — combining professional connection, hands-on learning, and community service!

📍 Location: 1056 River Road, Manchester, NH
📅 Date: Friday, August 22, 2025
🕘 Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (plus optional lunch after)

10:00 – 10:30 AM | Tour of NH Food Bank
10:30 – 10:45 AM | Cooking Matters Program Overview
10:45 AM | Walk to the Garden
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Volunteer at the Food Bank Garden

Volunteer activities may include planting, weeding, harvesting, or prepping the garden for the season (all tools provided).

Is It Time to Renew Your License?

If you’re a licensed dietitian in New Hampshire, it’s essential to stay on top of the renewal process. While the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification (OPLC) will send an email reminder 60 days before your renewal date, it is ultimately your responsibility to complete the process on time.

Here’s what you need to know:

💵 Renewal fee: $110

⏰ Late renewal fee: $150

📣 Passing the Gavel 📣

At the final NHAND Board Meeting of the 2024-2025 year on May 1st, we honored the tradition of the ceremonial passing of the gavel. As of June 1st, Stephanie Chmielecki will officially step into the role of NHAND President, while Jen Messer transitions into Immediate Past President. What a fantastic year it has been!

✨ Some highlights from this year include:

Outlining our pilot mentorship program
Establishing an In State Foundation Scholarship Fund
Hosting impactful advocacy events and Professional Development
Advancing conversations around the Dietitian Licensure Compact
Growing student and member engagement across the state
A new Strategic Plan

After the meeting, the current “3Ps” — Gretchen Arnold (Immediate Past President), Jen Messer (President), and Stephanie Chmielecki (President-Elect) — reflected on one of the most meaningful parts of being involved in NHAND: the friendships and camaraderie built through service. 💙

Working together as volunteers and leaders has put us in a unique position to elevate our profession and unify dietitians across New Hampshire. A rising tide lifts all ships — and the ripple effect of NHAND’s work benefits every RD and NDTR in the state and beyond. 🌊

💐 Congratulations to Claire Reilly our Outstanding Dietetic Student this year! 💐

Claire is a strong UNH MSDI 2nd year student who consistently showcases strong aptitude in all areas of dietetics, an amazing attitude,
and professionalism as well as kindness and compassion.

Throughout the program, Claire has done well in her courses. What sets her apart is her attitude towards her learning and her professional growth.

Claire has sought experiences that will challenge her and elevate her learning and while in these experiences, maintained an attitude of determination. This persistent determined attitude has led to her getting a lot out of her experiences and demonstrating much professional growth.
