And now for something totally different. First it's been a long time since I posted. Sigh.
This weekend I took a three day course live streamed from Switzerland! Not yoga (and not skiing πŸ˜‰ for those who know me) but totally applicable to what we do in my classes. It was a class in dealing with lower back pain, taught by Eric Franklin. Can't wait to share these ideas with you in one of my classes!
It's all about fascia and movement and lowering pain! What's not to love about that.

There's a free yoga class tomorrow at 1 pm called:
Relaxing with your Rescue- virtual yoga session.

Great article about why not to fret and stress about Covid -19 and mostly about how to help ourselves and others.

Especially if you don’t have it yet

I hope you all safe safely snuggled in your homes. We are fine so far
but it's sure a different way of being.

So what can you do for now with your yoga?
1. Practice one pose every day. I teach the flow style of yoga but in
that are many many poses and just focusing on one and not worrying
about remembering a flow would be helpful. I have been doing that b/c
I find that flowing by myself is no fun but holding a pose in
personally instructive.

2. Pay attention to your breath every day. Sitting quietly and just
noticing the air flowing in and out.

3. Do something to relax every day...savasana, sitting or even walking
very very slowly as in a walking meditation.

4. Remember the positive in your life...remind yourself of it every
morning when you wake and every evening as you go to sleep.

5. Keep smiling and laughing.

To all my yogi friends, a very happy new year to all of you! Each of you is another one of life's many gratitudes for me.

May you all be safe, healthy, happy and may you walk in peace this year. (paraphrasing a nice meditation I use with classes some times.)

This is a NH Lady Slipper....endangered, grows in rocky places but is fragile and beautiful, a reminder for me of life's many blessings.

Heard a very inspiring thought by this wonderful person today.

Heard a very inspiring thought by this wonderful person today.

I am trying to be mySelf
Are you being YOU?
If that becomes the goal
There is nothing more to do
It is all about peeling layers
And more to "Un-DO"
It is not about being someONE
It is more about being YOU!
We walk about with the lanterns
Seeking who is outside
I have chosen to turn within
To see who sees from inside

Yoga is so much more than doing poses. I try to infuse the ideas little by little in my classes. And I see results and happy people and I love my work. πŸ™

My Empress friend Cindy found this and I thought it would go great here too.....It says I found this humerous.... ;-)
