My second Hyrox Class had a few more participants! We will be meeting MWF mornings at 830 and Sundays at 9;00 at Memorial Field in Concord. Come try one out and if you like it you can sign on for a Hyrox punncard and/or a Amoskeag CrossFit membership!!!

Another Blog Post! Wrapping up the 12-step season!!

So here we are, newly minted twelve-steppers! We’ve done it! All of those tiny steps (a thousand of them maybe) to get through just twelve of them in alcohol recovery!

It is one thing to work hard at righting a wrong, or amending an action. This is all important and life changing. But returning to old patterns of behavior, old habits, will do nothing to lessen the amount of future amends we would be creating the need for.

I am in season nine of my podcast and I am doing a 12 week series on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous looked at through a spiritual lens. I am also not limiting these steps to alcohol addiction, but rather whatever “addiction” might be plaguing you… eating, over scheduling, dealing with trauma, grief, whatever it is that holds you up in life I have found that the 12 steps are magical in the positive benefits of self reflection and enlisting the power of the universe for help and support. I am sixty-one today. July 29th marks the anniversary of my exit from my mother’s womb and my arrival as a human on the planet. My relationship with my birthday is as complex as most of my relationships are. I love it, I hate it, I am indifferent.

Trauma and grief related to sudden loss of family members can have devastating effects on families. This race is being put on in honor of a dad, by his daughter, who wants to help other families cope with, and hopefully avoid what happened to her.
