NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency

NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency NHDFMR combines excellent clinical training with an innovative personal development and leadership curriculum that prepares you to serve and lead.

Located in Concord, the capital of the Granite State, we are the only ACGME-approved family medicine program in the state. Our sponsoring institution is Concord Hospital, a regional medical center that serves a primary catchment area of 145,00 residents. Residents can elect to serve patients in two different clinic settings. The Family Health Center in Concord is the educational home to 18 of our residents while 6 residents practice in Hillsboro, a more rural option. We also offer an exciting opportunity to combine traditional family medicine training with Dartmouth Hitchcock's Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency.

What exactly is our [Systems] curriculum—and why is everyone asking about it? 👀

Hear from Dr. Andy Valeras, DO, MPH, as he breaks down one of the most unique and defining features of our program. From big-picture thinking to real-world application, this is where medicine meets systems-level impact.

We all love long walks on the beach… Our PGY3 class spent their final [Systems] weekend in Old Orchard Beach and Portland, Maine! Delicious food, late-night dancing, and classic East Coast sunrises included. A little coffee, a lot of laughs, and the life-long friendships residency quietly gives you. 🌊☕️🍀

All the resident classes enjoy reconnecting with their cohort during the biannual [Systems] blocks, and weekend trips have become a resident-led program tradition! 🌿🩺🌎
