HEAL Community Network Meeting:
· Wednesday, August 16, 2017
· 9:00 am – Noon
· Location: Foundation for Healthy Communities, Room 1

PLEASE RSVP to Beth Gustafson Wheeler by Friday August 11th to bwheeler@healthynh.com

Our guest presentation will be: Sugar Sweetened Beverage Initiatives in NH and what it means for local communities
They will be sharing some very interesting results from two recent projects: NH Dept. of Public Health Services Harvard CHOICES Modeling Study on the impact of a sugar sweetened beverage tax in NH (A CHOICES fact sheet is attached for your referral); and the American Heart Association’s junk food marketing and sugary drinks poll. This will be followed by Melissa and Scot informing us of next steps for the projects and what it means for communities. The AHA has some exciting community engagement work coming up which many of you might be interested in hearing more about.

As always, we will have time for community updates as we revisit the Roses, Buds and Thorns exercise. So be sure to bring a success, something “budding” on the horizon, and a “thorny issue” you have been facing that perhaps your colleagues in this group have a solution for!

Please join us!
