Stretch of the Week: Seated Spinal Twist

Feeling tight after long days at your desk or in the car? The Seated Spinal Twist is a simple stretch that helps improve spinal mobility, ease lower back tension, and support better posture—all from a chair or the floor!

How to do it:
1. Sit tall with legs extended or cross-legged.
2. Place your right hand behind you, left hand on your right knee.
3. Inhale to lengthen your spine, exhale to gently twist to the right.
4. Hold for 20–30 seconds, then switch sides.

PRO TIP: Keep your hips grounded and spine long—twist from the waist, not the hips!

Smart tips to beat the August heat:
• Move early or late in the day when it’s cooler
• Wear lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing
• Stay ahead of dehydration with water + electrolytes
• Take rest breaks often—especially outdoors
